The Yoga Love Sanctuary is an invitation to rest deeply in radiant being. In twelve 1-month modules, we will delve deeply into body, breath, mind, and beyond to find that radiance which awaits behind every apparent challenge.

January: Foundations of Self-Care
When we set structures up to support our visions, they have a much greater chance of manifesting. We will explore alignment of the body and mind as well as organization of our “self-care” spaces.

February: Supportive Connection
In a healthy community, we move beyond our own well-being to the resilience that comes from sharing these values with others. We lift each other up as well as hold each other accountable, for company is stronger than willpower.

March: Stillness in the Depths
Wellness ultimately flows from the source of our beings, beyond mind, body, and our individual spirits. Through nidra, the practice of yogic sleep and restorative yoga we will let go into the deep flow.

April: Renewal
There is a time to get energy moving and to shake loose the places where we are stuck, We will explore the cardiovascular benefits of more dynamic yoga as well as breathing exercises to revitalize us from the core of our beings to our extremities.

May: Grounding
In our increasingly electronic world, we place our feet on Earth (both literally and figuratively) to ground that energy so that it can be productive, not destructive. Slowing down to feel our connection to Mother Earth, breathing in her fragrance, and releasing static energy through grounding yoga practices can help us feel grounded and stable.

June: Enjoying the Dance
The mind by its very nature is dual, but this is what can make life fun, or at least interesting. Witness the duality of mind through meditation practices and conscious awareness and allow the peace to emerge when we do not identify heavily with thought.

July: Coming Home
The practice of self-nurturance can extend to every area of our lives: our food, our sleep, our yoga, our relationships and more. Claiming our own inborn style of self-care can make it sustainable.

August: Radiant Heart
Moving beyond limiting beliefs to shine our lights brightly can align us with our dharma, where our passion meets the world’s needs. Uncovering this light is key in allowing the mind to focus peacefully on the challenges at hand.

September: Pure Sattva
Sattva is the state of the reflective mind, unmuddied by past regrets or future dreams, allowing us to be purely in the moment, guided by the deepest consciousness. Meditation, breath, and body awareness can help us to let go of these stories.

October: Dynamic Balance
The longing for harmony and balance can be met most effectively by not clinging to our ideas of harmony and balance but by recognizing the natural oscillations and finding that dynamic center point. Standing postures and awareness of inhalation and exhalation, over time, can lead us into an appreciation of a centered stance that is always evolving.

November: Passionate Dedication
Passion can be harnessed constructively when guided by consciousness and destructively when it follows the ever changing desires born of a sense of not-enoughness. The practice of yoga allows us to contact the vital force at the heart of passion and guide it with a witnessing mind to a peaceful destination.

December: Trust in Your Vision
As we near the end of this cycle, we can use what we have learned to set our sights on the next year of manifesting a life of peace, love, and service to our world. Cultivating the ability to “take it home” will ensure the sustainability of our practice.

Access to all group session recordings will be available on the course page through January 14, 2024 to practice again or on your own time if you are not able to join a live session.
All live sessions will be held on Zoom unless otherwise stated.
All live group sessions are approximately 80 minutes unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
All pre-recorded sessions are approximately 50-80 minutes unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
All private 1-on-1 sessions are approximately 50 minutes unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
The majority of the classes will be live and some will be prerecorded. Recordings will be posted on the course page within 24 hours after a live session.

Sherrie Howard
Sherrie Howard is a multi-talented international kirtan artist, 1000-hour certified Kripalu yoga teacher, nature guide, sound healer, and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music trained vocalist. Thousands of guests at Miraval, Canyon Ranch, and Kripalu Center have delighted in Sherrie’s unique blend of yoga, healing, and music.
She teaches a variety of mind/body practices including yoga, mantra, sound healing, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, chair yoga, aqua yoga, and other similar practices.
During the past few years Sherrie Howard has grown and cultivated her online skills as a an online wellness entrepreneur and has successfully developed, marketed, and led five online mindfulness based programs. She currently works as the online events manager for grammy nominated chant artists, Deva Premal and Miten.
In addition to leading yoga retreats both online and in person, she has recorded and toured both locally and internationally with her own kirtan band and with several of the most well-known chant artists in the world including Girish and Johanna Beekman. She loves to share her beautiful singing voice in her classes and workshops.
Music has been part of her life since she was very young and she shares its dynamic and healing power with others. Sherrie empowers individuals to step into positivity, self-love, and balance.
As a nature enthusiast and professional outdoor guide, Sherrie has guided and taught hiking, stand-up-paddle boarding, and kayaking.
